Baby Leslie arrives

We checked into the hospital Tuesday, June 3 so they could start cervadil. I was 1 cm and had been for about two weeks. Leslie was born at 3:45 am on Thursday, June 5. Needless to say it was a long process!! Pitocin started around 9:30 am Wednesday, Dr. Anderson broke my water around 10. From that point forward I had contractions two minutes apart. At 4 pm, I finally gave in and got the epi!

When we got to the hospital we saw Gina, which was wonderful, because she assigned herself to me for the next day. I couldn't be more thankful for that good fortune! For that evening though, Laura's sister Heather started as my nurse -- and she too was great. After that Annie took over, whom I'd never met but I worked with her hubby, and she just continued my run of good nursing luck!!

After she was born, Leslie nursed almost immediately. Gina visited us the next day to see the little girl who refused to be born on her watch!!!
