Jody has been working 16- hour days for three weeks, so our only way to down time with him is to go to work

It has brought me a surprising amount of joy to find that Leslie is finally REALLY into coloring. She has a book she keeps in the car to color, and last night she colored in the buggy while I shopped for 30 minutes. She's never been a particularly pleasant shopper, so this is great news for me!

Our night at Cubbies

After her second night at Cubbies, Leslie gets in the car and says:
"Mommy!! I saw puppets!!!"

She was very excited. It was sports night and she wore her cute Georgia cheerleader uniform. She also said her first two verses perfectly, for me anyway. I'm guessing since her book was signed she did it for her teacher, too.

After hours of fun at Farmfest, Leslie and I met Daddy to go see fireworks in Gratis. What a fun time! She at popcorn, played with Emma, Maddie, and Allie, and stayed up until 11:30!

Our Friends

Last week, Leslie's best friends, Luke, Sutton, and Collin, were ALL gone for the week. I picked her up from school Wednesday and Amy said she had been distraught all day, sitting by herself, and saying she missed her friends. I picked her up and she told me:

"I miss Luke and Collin and Sutton. I need them at cool."

Then, when she saw Sutton back at school Monday, she said "My friends are here!" She then walked to Sutton, sat beside her, and said, "I missed you."
